Apply to play the beta for free!
Sign up here to apply for the EverQuest Next and EverQuest Next Landmark Beta programs. By signing up you will be put into a pool of beta applicants for each respective program. We'll be announcing more information about the programs soon, so make sure to sign up for our newsletter or follow our social channels for all the latest news. Landmark is scheduled to launch this winter and EverQuest Next is still in the early stages of development with no announcement date set. When we are ready to begin allowing people into a beta program, if you are selected by SOE to participate, an acceptance email will be sent to your email address, and you will be asked to read and accept a Beta Testing Agreement.

Game Features:
  • A Class Revolution
  • A Life of Consequence
  • Landmark
  • A New EverQuest
  • Full Destructibility
  • Permanent Change

A Class Revolution
Our character classes are streamlined and designed to be mixed. Want to be a teleporting rogue or a backstabbing barbarian? The choice is yours!
They are considering one character being able to play all classes and switch whenever you want

A Life of Consequence
Your choices will rule your destiny. Do you save a villager's burning farm or choose to do nothing? Do you clear orc camps away from Qeynos or help them destroy the city? You will make your own story — and shape the world for those who follow you.
Pretty Straight Forward. Create your story.

Landmark
Have you ever wanted to build a game? Landmark gives you all the tools you need to design anything you can imagine. Your creations could even end up as a part of EverQuest Next
Minecraft meets MMO, but much smoother!

Permanent Change
The land of Norrath changes every day, based on the actions of all players… including you. Cities rise and fall, kings live and die, even the gods may change. You won't want to miss a moment of it!
It has been confirmed that their will be majors towns that cannot be destroyed, but later down the road it may be removed and can be destroyed.

Full Destructibility
Everything in EverQuest Next can be destroyed. Crush the ground beneath an enemy's feet — or bury him under an avalanche you created. The world is your weapon.
Ever been chased by 100 mobs and wishing you could just blow up a bridge? Well now you can!

A New EverQuest
EverQuest Next is a complete reimagining of the EverQuest Franchise. Old friends and enemies will appear — but they may not be who you remember. With 10,000 years of explorable history buried beneath its surface and a future you will shape, this is your Norrath.
Never played Everquest before? No Worries! Completely new story line that doesn't require you to play old versions to understand!

Here is a pretty good Stream that talks about EQN on Sundays. They work with SOE / Gameskinny and are keeping up to date on the game.

Fully destructible environment just sounds like a gimmicky recipe for disaster.

From the sounds of it they are gonna do landmark beta while prepping for whole beta.

This will allow them to work on it.

We shall see. No one knows

I've played EQ off and on since its release in '99. Hope EQN delivers, I've signed up for beta. Not sure how I feel about the graphics, but if the gameplay is solid they can be overlooked. My main concern is that they may have deviated too far from what makes EQ, EQ.

Yeah as someone who hasn't played EQ I can't really comment on it, but hopefully at turns out good for the sake of just a good game to be released.
