so i got some cash and im looking to buy a 32" inch htdv LCD for my dorm.

i got 2 questions:

1) is there really a big difference from 720p to 1080p?
2) do name brands really matter when buying a tv? Like for example, DYNEX or Vizio or some shit brand that no1 ever heard of, i mean they are still tv's and they still work...
Im still playing on my 15" TOSHIBA tube tv that i got 8 years ago, when TOSHIBA was a shit brand and no1 heard of it.. now its pretty well known.

is it worth a few more bucks to get a sony, sharp, samsung, etc ??

1) u cant notice a difference between 720p and 1080p unless u buy a bigger tv then a 32''
2) dont buy a shit name brand

just buy a Sony Bravia XBR its around 2k$ these days

bro i aint that rich, im a college student with 300-500 bucks to blow on a tv. i work for my shit and this is all i can afford.

plus, i would never bring a 2,000$ tv to campus. shit i never even bought anything higher than 2000$ -.-

the only thing u will notice between the 720 and 1080 is when you are gaming, i got a 1080 that was recomended for gaming. and Vizio is one of the top 5 brands btw for u idiots.

This, and plus, there aren't many media were it's fully 1080p
but once/if they produce them at their full capacity there willl be a difference.



I think/hopefully gran turismo 5 will be full 1080p!
