At the moment, the greatest save in football's history is El Dave's against Chelsea last season - Mata's free kick.

Does this one just edges it?

Mata's free kick save last year was better IMO.

Mata free kick save better. Although the gasping look on desperate Rio's face was very poignant on that one off Torres.
....seaman clawing it off the line looks good cause he was such an oaf in net (the brasil free kick :o )
Buffon plays for Juve. Everyone know Juve bribes everything including the match ball, and the factory worker that made the match ball, so can't count.
