Damn, and you guys can't even get mad because it's everyone hyping him. Not just Eagles fans.
Carr ducking his ding song pretty hard
Quote
It seems that everyone outside of former Jets linebacker Bart Scott is tripping over themselves to hop aboard the Carson Wentz bandwagon, including NFL Network analyst David Carr who has high praise for the Eagles' rookie quarterback.
"It's an easy comparison to Joe Flacco because he want to a small school," Carr said Thursday on 97.5 The Fanatic. "But, he's very much like Andrew Luck to me. Andrew still hasn't learned to kind of protect himself. My hope and prayer is that Carson, man, when you go to run tuck the ball in, get out of bounds, slide, I get it ... He's a tough competitor , but he's very Andrew Luck to me. I think he has a stronger arm than Andrew. Carson has one of the stronger arms in the league that I've seen, just watching on film."
The comparison to Luck has been a frequent one for Wentz ever since the run-up to April's NFL Draft in which he was chosen No. 2 overall by the Eagles after the team pulled off a blockbuster trade with the Cleveland Browns. However, to hear Carr say that Wentz has an even stronger arm than Luck gives the possibility that the Eagles' rookie's ceiling could be even higher.
"I'm sold on this kid," Carr said of Wentz. "I love watching him play. He has the physical attributes. He's one of those guys that you don't ever worry if the ball is going to have enough zip to get there. That's the other thing, I think Doug Pederson probably feels the same way. That's probably why they made the move with Sam Bradford.
