Alright I've got two mocks here. Purely for funsies because why not? I'm going to try and get one more done tomorrow that is filled with some trades (I've got about 8 in mind atm) for the first round. Anyway, here's these two I whipped together quickly.
OK this isn't a typical mock. This is assuming that every team has their choice of the entire draft class. As if each team had the first pick etc etc you get it. Just to see how each team could benefit from it and what not.1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-14) – Jameis Winston, QB, Florida State
So no change here obviously lol. Winston is the best QB prospect in this draft so yeah I don't need to go into this one.
2. Tennessee Titans (2-14) – Jameis Winston, QB, Florida State
Same goes here for the Titans. They need a franchise QB and Winston fits the mold of what Whisenhunt likes in a QB. Again, no need to go into this one too much.
3. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-13) – Dante Fowler Jr., DE/OLB, Florida
An argument can surely be made for Williams here too but I believe the Jaguars are far more interested in Fowler and are satisfied with their line for the most part. Get a stud like Fowler and use him in a Von Miller type roll and boom.
4. Oakland Raiders (3-13) – Leonard Williams, DE/DT, USC
A lot of talk about a WR here but that's pretty much only because most everyone thinks Williams will be gone by this pick. He wants to play for Oakland, they want/need him so t's a great fit.
5. Washington Redskins (4-12) – Jameis Winston, QB, Florida State
Sure they picked up RGIII's option but let's be real here, if given the option, the Skins would dump him in a heartbeat only if they had a real replacement. As of now they have no other options that are better but with a chance at Winston, they'd take him and trade RGIII for whatever they could.
6. New York Jets (4-12) – Jameis Winston, QB, Florida State
Copy and paste the Redskins description and replace RGIII with Geno Smith and replace trade for whatever they could to pray to god someone might offer a half eaten taco for Geno if not then cut him.
7. Chicago Bears (5-11) - Jameis Winston, QB, Florida State
Copy and paste Redskins etc etc.
8. Atlanta Falcons (6-10) – Leonard Williams, DE/DT, USC
Falcons just got a defensive minded head coach. They have some holes on defense, take the best defensive player and overall player in this draft.
9. New York Giants (6-10) – Ereck Flowers, OT, Miami
I understand they have a need for defensive pieces but if they can't keep Eli upright then they may as well just trade him while he has value and see what they have in Nassib. Flowers or Scherff, you take your pick which you value more. I think Scherff is an elite guard in the NFL. Flowers is a legitimate left tackle.
10. St. Louis Rams (6-10) – Brandon Scherff, OT/G, Iowa
Now why not Winston here? If any team could benefit from a franchise QB, wouldn't it be the Rams? Well yes and no. Throwing a QB behind that line would be Bradford 2.0. If the Rams were to select a QB here, they'd be much better off with Mariota who's more mobile and can make things happen with his legs when the line breaks but there's no need for that. If they take a versatile and talented player like Scherff then they can just role with Foles, see if he's the answer and if not, get a new QB next draft. Flowers is an option but Scherff's versatility helps the Rams much more since they have Robinson to play LT.
11. Minnesota Vikings (7-9) – Brandon Scherff, OT/G, Iowa
A case could be made for any of the top Wrs or maybe even Gurley but the Vikings' biggest need is at both guard positions and Scherff is an elite NFL guard in the making. Him and Kalil will anchor down the left side for many years to come. Kalil's short comings will be much less severe with an elite talent next to him.
12. Cleveland Browns (7-9) – Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon
In a very Browns' like move, they go for Mariota instead of Winston. I could see a WR being the option as well but go from Manziel to Mariota. A complete 180 in character and Mariota is a better QB than Manziel but Winston is the far better options. So Browns gonna Brown.
13. New Orleans Saints (7-9) – Jameis Winston, QB, Florida State
Brees gets traded. Payton is likely let go (or kept, idk don't really care lol) and the Saints begin the entire rebuilding process. With 2 first rounders already (and a potential huge haul from Brees) they're able to quickly rebuild their franchise. If they were in a position to land Winston (or possibly even Mariota) then they'd have moved Brees weeks ago.
14. Miami Dolphins (8-8) – Kevin White, WR, West Virginia
Make it White, Cooper, Parker, Perriman or whoever you want, whoever you think the top WR is that's who I believe the Dolphins would take at #1. They could easily go with Scherff but I'd see them calling a bit of an audible here and taking a play maker. They seem to have something in Tannehill, don't let that be wasted without surrounding him with talent. Now the same logic says don't give him a shitty line, but the Dolphins' line was improved last year and there is a lot of guard talent in this draft (WR too I know) so their in a good spot to make some huge improvments.
15. San Francisco 49ers (8-8) – Leonard Williams, DE/DT, USC
No Smith, Dockett isn't any kind of an answer so take the best overall player in this draft that also fills a need.
16. Houston Texans (9-7) – Jameis Winston, QB, Florida State
Winstons for everyone! You get a Winston and you get a Winston and you get a Winston!
17. San Diego Chargers (9-7) – Jameis Winston, QB, Florida State
Much like the Saints, they'd draft their future franchise quarterback and trade Rivers while they can.
18. Kansas City Chiefs (9-7) – Ereck Flowers, OT, Florida
Many might think this would be another Winston pick but Smith is a solid QB no matter what anyone says. Put talent around him and he can win. With a back like JC he should be fine but with a shit line like they have, it'll never happen. A WR might be a nice choice here but elite Lts are more valuable than wrs.
19. Buffalo Bills (9-7) – Jameis Winston, QB, Florida State
Because I mean what the fuck are they going to do at QB? Lol.
20. Philadelphia Eagles (10-6) – Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon

21. Cincinnati Bengals (10-5-1) – Dante Fowler Jr., DE/OLB, Florida
Seeing what the Bengals already have on their DL, I think they may view Fowler as more valuable to them than Williams (they're basically 1a and 1b anyway) especially with the return of Michael Johnson. Fowler can be their third LB and be one of the final pieces to create a dominate stop unit.
22. Pittsburgh Steelers (11-5) – Dante Fowler Jr., DE/OLB, Florida
Worilds retired, Jarvis Jones hasn't been what anyone expected and James Harrison, while a beast and one of my favorite players, is getting old. It's a pretty easy decision.
23. Detroit Lions (11-5) – Todd Gurley, RB, Georgia
Yep, the Lions would take a RB with the first overall pick and it'd be a good pick too. Some could argue Williams or Scherff/Humphries here and they'd have a valid argument but they got Ngata and aren't completely broke at DT. As for DL, Gurley is far more talented than any OL prospect in this draft. Their offense is already explosive, if you factored in an actual reliable, dominate running game into it, they could very well have the #1 offense in the league.
24. Arizona Cardinals (11-5) – Leonard Williams, DE/DT, USC
Stinson looked to have some potential but you don't just pass up a JJ Watt type potential. Fowler would be a solid choice as well but Williams would work better replacing Dockett.
25. Carolina Panthers (7-8-1) – Ereck Flowers, OT, Florida
Finally they get some help on their OLine. A new franchise LT is desperately needed.
26. Baltimore Ravens (10-6) – Leonard Williams, DE/DT, USC
Rebuild up that defensive line.
27. Dallas Cowboys (12-4) – Leonard Williams, DE/DT, USC
Same thing. They need help at DT and DE, Williams could play either.
28. Denver Broncos (12-4) – Jameis Winston, QB, Florida State
Peyton is nearing the end and the Broncos don't seem to have too much faith in Brock seeing as they have already said they'd draft another QB this year.
29. Indianapolis Colts (11-5) – Leonard Williams, DE/DT, USC
The Colts really need help putting pressure on the passer. They got Trent Cole but that won't be enough.
30. Green Bay Packers (12-4) – Dante Fowler Jr., DE/OLB, Florida
While Packers fans may not want an OLB, getting another elite talent in that LB corps to pair up with Clay will make life easier on everyone else. The other two starting Lbs and the DL won't have to do as much with Clay and Fowler wreaking all kinds of havoc.
31. Seattle Seahawks (12-4) – Brandon Scherff, OT/G, Iowa
Just anything on the OL. Scherff is the best guard but can play RT too so whatever they need from him they can get.
32. New England Patriots (12-4) – Leonard Williams, DE/DT, USC
I struggled with this one for a bit. Wanted to slot a WR here but couldn't do it with the loss of Wilfork too. Now Williams isn't the big NT like Wilfork is but he's the elite talent to fill the gap Wilfork left behind. Danny Shelton could be a choice here too but the talent different between Williams and the rest of the field is huge.
In this mock I will be using my big board for the top 64 players to do the mock. I won't be drafting on anything purely how I rank all of the players overall.Quote (BardOfXiix @ Apr 27 2015 03:55pm)
You should do one more mock. Give the BPA to each team. Literally 1-32, each team gets the player you rank highest on the big board. See who is the biggest winner, biggest loser, etc.
Would be easy and interesting.
