Well fuck me in the ass with a spatula. I’m not really sure what to say about this game even. I didn’t even picture the Packers losing until it was midway through the 4th quarter and I looked at the game clock and was like, “Fuck. We have to win, now.” Either way, the Packers looked like the exact opposite team that they did last week. They were tackling, pressuring appropriately and even causing turnovers at opportune times. It seemed so natural as opposed to last week. I was actually impressed to see some defensive prowess for once on the team.
Too bad the Lions defense was exponentially more fierce and was in TERMINATOR mode today. Poor play calling and even worse execution contributed to a dismal day for the Packers. Even with proper play calling though, the Packers were in for a hell of a day. The front 7 for Detroitt was ready for a fucking fight. Our lineman were manhandled like a 6 year old at a Jerry Sandusky party. The fact that I actually woke up from blacking out is a testament to how much I love you guys. I should have drank myself to death, but instead I live to post another day.
The offense didn’t even need Megatron to destroy us, the defense and rest of the offense did the work. Bushgod and StaffGOAT put on a clinic in the second half and made sure Rodgers didn’t even put a cleat on Ford Field. Shit, he wasn’t even sure what the goddamn field looked like after the first quarter. The only reminder he got was when his face was plowed into the turf later on by Suh. I have never seen the Green Bay offense look so timid in recent years. It’s almost as if our beloved head coach submitted and decided that regardless of what plays we called, we were still ultimately doomed to suffer the Lions wrath.
My only solace was watching Tulloch hurt himself while celebrating. Other than that, my day has been terrible. I have little reason to live because the Lions are potentially for real. As I told Lions fans that decided to ride my dick and harass me all day: The season is not won in September. Come talk to me come January.
Regardless, the Detroit Lions look poised to take the next step. Stafford still sucks balls, but was able to pull out a divisional win today and he will get better as the season goes on. That defense is not a fucking joke, and anyone who thinks they lost talent in the offseason is a fucking moron. Decimated secondary or not, that front 7 will give me night terrors for the foreseeable future and Rodgers is still tasting the fucking turf of Ford Field. I expect a valiant rematch at the end of the season with 2 teams looking to finalize their playoff plans. Good fucking game Detroit, you pistol-whipped us to the point where we were so completely beta that even Tony2Potato could have verballed us. See you in December.
