I know how you feel though, me and the girlfriend (of 5 years) had to move back into my parents for a little while after I got laid off. I eventually ended up moving states and me and her both found good jobs, it was a pain in the ass and an insanely stressful time. As long as you're not lazy (which I don't think you are) you should be able to bounce back. Just try to keep positive, once you give up and start beating yourself up, it's just over.

Was going to say that, was hoping he'd figure that part out. Most people don't have a ton of money into savings, especially people with bills/kids.
I got a little, but not nearly enough to keep the family going for long.
