Looking to get a custom computer desk.

Currently thinking about getting a wood countertop slab from IKEA and turning it into a computer desk, but it's 74" long and I really only want about 60-66 inches.

It's also 129$ with 99$ shipping and I think I would have to do some finishing to it which would be difficult in an apartment.

Countertop is here: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/40057396/

I LOVE the idea of going with a wood countertop and putting my own legs on it, but I would really rather not spend 240$ to get it + s&h. (I could realistically rent a UHAUL van but the total cost of that would be ~70$.. so 30$ to not have to go through that + having it delivered is kinda a toss up.

I could go with a laminate countertop, which would be less expensive/less attractive but also be completely finished and I would just need to throw legs on it. Something like this:

TL:DR offering 495 fg to anyone that finds a better solution for a desk, either making my own or buying for ~300 dollars (including delivery) Must be at LEAST 60 inches long.

Also considering looking around @ 2nd hand shops for dining room tables, removing the legs/refinishing the top and throwing on sexy legs.

Going to go with this most likely, will cost about 80$ more than I want to spend to put custom legs on it, BUT It's the proper depth (30 inches is way too deep) and sexily finished.

Here go bro, donates appreciated. It's from KMart so you know it's legit.

This is another option, would throw different legs on it most likely.
