I'd rather be home but it really doesn't even matter, if the Raiders made it to the conference championship they'd be playing hard regardless though and if they were home, no thanks. But either way we win

Host Steelers, @Raiders
OK, so hear me out on this:
The benefit of resting some players and halfassing it Week 17:
We get to rest some players
Oakland might lose their late game anyway, so our game wouldnt have mattered
Even if Oakland wins and we get the #2 seed, how is that any worse? As a #1 seed, our 2 playoff games are probably going to be Chiefs/Steelers. If being the #2 seed causes us to have any different matchup than that, it would be @Raiders which is arguably a better path (or at least no worse). Hell, if letting the Raiders get #1 makes it easier for them to knock off their first opponent (Chiefs or Steelers) then that might be better for us in the long run.
So, how could resting players and halfassing Week 17 come back to haunt us? I don't see a scenario where it could.
Big picture, the business of the NFL is about making money so home games are better. But purely from a football perspective, if you are only thinking about winning the SB, resting some people Week 17 makes sense to me right now.
