With the inexplicable interest shown by the Raiders, Vikings, and Browns, I wouldn't be surprised to see him go way higher than he should. Of course, all that interest could be a smokescreen.

I need to watch some Jimmie Ward apparently. Seen him mocked to the Raisins all over the place (and FS is one of our weakest positions, if not THE weakest)

Kind of a worst case scenario, this mock... No Lewan, Ebron, Jajaja Clinton-Dix... Would probably go Lee for the speed synergy with Torrey + experience in the west coast offense.

But preferably trade down in this scenario if there is a trade partner, or trade up if they get good value. This is a draft where nearly everyone wants to trade down and amass picks, so teams will be getting better value should they wish to trade up.

Leapfrogging the Steelers for Lewan in this draft would be advantageous because it would totally fuck over the Steelers while securing our tackle situation for the next 6 years.

Uhhh isn't Elam your FS? Was he shit last year? And Ward is a SS in the NFL.

EDIT:

Also this to the Raider fans. It could all be smoke for sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Raiders fell in love with Carr to groom behind Schaub for a year or so.

Elam is a SS 100% going into next year. He was just forced to play FS last year cuz Ihedigbo stepped up to be a poor-man's Pollard at SS, and Elam was the most talented safety on the team (and Michael Huff was AWFUL as a temporary replacement at FS).

If Ward is a SS, then I doubt we take him. They want a legit center fielder FS like Reed was. C-Dix would fit the mold, but idk if they take a safety in the first round in back-to-back years.

Could happen. I'd expect him to go in the 2nd though.

Oh ok then I agree with you, no Ward for you guys. I thought Elam was a SS but saw you guys were playing him at FS so just assumed he'd stay there.

I can't see any scenario where Carr goes in round 2. Manziel and Bridgewater have a much higher chance of falling to the second round than Carr does.

No matter what I mock to you guys, one of you is upset lol.

Why fuck that mock?  You guys got a lot of talent and filled needs.

I'd be stoked for them to spend all those picks to draft a bust.  :)

Even if he doesn't bust, they still have Kapernick throwing to him so I'm not worried.

Well Thurmond and Browner are gone.  Maxwell is nice but you have to think realistically that you might loose Sherman.  You're going to need to pay Wilson, Sherman and Thomas here soon (if I remember correctly, none of them have been extended yet?)

Percy has a fairly hefty contract, Lynch will need an extension soon (again, not 100% on all my contract info) so who's going to be the odd man out or who's going to take less?  Wilson is a must keep and between Thomas and Sherman, you have to keep Thomas.

McGill fits the mold of a Seahawks corner and any potential faults in his game could be overlooked because he doesn't have to start right away and can learn from Sherman.

Because you're overpaying Brandon Carr, Morris Claiborne hasn't developed as many would have expected.  B.W. Webb is still young but he was one of my favorites last year and can still develop into a solid 2.  Gilbert is an elite prospect and the top corner in this draft (argument for Dennard I know people, they're 1a and 1b, different play styles).  You guys made a solid move signing Melton and Mincey is a decent stop gap atm for DE and with the incredible amount of DL talent in this draft, taking a top corner is a smarter move imo for the Cowboys.  Look at the rest of the draft.  Ferguson, Sutton and Marsh, those are some solid prospects and then Fortt to get Lee a little help at that level.  A lot of talent and youth and small price tags lol.

Why lol falcons?

If Clowney turns out to be a fraction of what he's being hyped to be then a first and 2 seconds (I said whatever pick for 2015, was working under the idea it'd be a conditional pick. Third if Clowney was trash/injured, second if he played well and first if he was great, you can decide what good and great play constitutes) isn't really over paying.

I wouldn't doubt them trading up, I would even believe for watkins or an oline...

Okay. Thanks for the update :)

In that case, Bridgewater R2.
