Seattle Defense + Clowney

O Lawd

Imagine our defense with J.J. Watt, Jadeveon Clowney and Brian Cushing? That Bulls on Parade nickname will return. Reminiscent of that stacked 2011 defense we once had. We simply became a weak defense because of costly free agent losses over the past few off-seasons: Mario Williams, DeMeco Ryans, Connor Barwin and Glover Quin to name a few. But it's nothing this upcoming draft can't fix.

I expect we'll snag a couple of pass rushers. Sam Montgomery and Trevardo Williams were huge mistakes for us in last year's draft. This is an important draft for general manager Rick Smith. If he has too many misses then he's going to be fired. He can't throw his coaching staff under the bus anymore.

i wanted to ask why is everyone still mocking us(cleveland) taking johnny manziel with the 4th?? Lombardi was the one who wanted manzeil and he got canned. Bortles Bridgewater or Carr is a much more likely move now

J.J. Watt is an absolute beast and the best defensive player in the NFL as far as I'm concerned. Brian Cushing's injuries the past two years have been flukes. Literally he was cut at the knees; One from behind and one from in front. That could happen to any player. I'd like to hit you hard on your knees to see how you like it bro.

As far as Jadeveon Clowney goes, I wouldn't doubt any potential greatness that he may have in the NFL from injuries he suffered while in college. How many guys have we seen like that who go on to the pros and have a lot of success despite having that injury-prone label? Adrian Peterson was an injury machine while at Oklahoma for example. I remember he broke his foot in 2005 and then he broke his collarbone in 2006. His body broke down on him all the time. A few teams foolishly passed on him for that very reason.

Teddy Bridgewater will still be on the board when Jacksonville picks at three.
