Welcome to a 500fg Yahoo! Fantasy Hockey League!
Overview:
***Read all before applying***
- If you have never played in an ACTIVE fantasy hockey league, I HIGHLY suggest you join another league (There will surely be more to join) Yahoo! Fantasy Hockey Guide
- The spots in this league are for active users that we can count on to participate through the entirety of the season
- The buy in is 500fg per spot
- One spot per player/One player per team
- League will consist of a pretty standard 8-10 teams (depending on demand for spots)
- This league will last for ONE NHL regular season
- Hockey Forum Regulars will get priority to spots if this is an issue
- Cratic will be the med for this particular Yahoo! fantasy league
Draft
- Yahoo! will randomly select the draft positions
- This is to remove any thought of collusion and/or cheating between any parties
- This will be a standard Yahoo! SNAKE DRAFT (12345-54321 etc)
- There will be NO trading of draft positions (standard Yahoo! fantasy style)
- Basically, this will be your standard run of the mill Yahoo! draft for fantasy hockey
Team Set Up
- Your team will consist of 26 players (see below)
- 4 Centers
- 4 Left Wingers
- 4 Right Wingers
- 6 Defensemen
- 4 Bench Positions (We can discuss/vote on adding a 5th bench position)
- 2 Flex/Utility Position
- 2 Goalie Positions (A bench position can be used to obtain a 3rd + goalie if you chose to do so)
Scoring
- Scoring will be pretty standard as well
- *Subject to change until the start of the league*
- This is also a topic that can be put to vote (see below of a selection of possible scoring parameters

Assists
Plus/Minus
Powerplay Points
Shots On Goal
Blocked Shots
Faceoffs Won
Goalie Wins
Goalie Save Percentage (%)
Goalie: Goals Against Average
Shutouts
Possible to vote in/out (No guarantee that any will be added):
Penalty Minutes (PIM)
Shorthanded Points (Goals or Cumulative)
Hits (Same as above but if I have to chose, I'd prefer blocked shots)
Shots Against/Saves (If goalies need more value)
- NOTE (Subject to change): To meet minimum goalie requirements for 1 week, your team must produce at least THREE (3) Goalie appearances per weekly contest!
- This value will be modified accordingly during truncated scoring weeks such as All-Star week/Christmas/Olympics/Etc (Nothing to worry about, pretty standard)
- Things like maximum additions per week and
Remember: If there is a problem with the number of available spots, regulars to this sub forum will get priority
-If collusion of any kind is suspected, the offending party's team will be locked and they will be removed from the league until the appropriate actions can be taken to deal with the incident.
- Trades will only be voted on if there is a need for intervening.
- Action will be taken if there is a reason to believe that the user was not acting in the best interest of their team
- These kinds of matters will be dealt with on a case by case basis
I am posting this a little earlier than usual so people have the time to get the funds together for this pool.
I dont want to sound like a jerk but I will have the final say in all administrative matters that wouldnt normally fall under the Hockey Betting Rules .
Having said that, the league will be influenced by the participants and their votes/opinions as much as possible.

Lastly, no spots will be signed up until I indicate (just a couple of days). I want people to get be able to see this thread and make a decision.
Due to the limited number of spots, entries will be provided to those that I feel will be the most active and set their lines every single week.
Decisions will be made in the best interest of the league
