thats not true at all my cat used to know it was me making the laser show up and move around because when he wasnt in the mood he would just headbut my hand with the laser pointer
he never caught it yet he still chased it for years lol
i think the "reward" for cats is getting to play with its owner and getting attention there not like a dog where you have to give it a treat for it to realize it did something right
