There's no way in hell Gillis would be caught offering that type of contract after the Luongo fiasco we currently have.
We probably only offered him 7.5 for 3-5 years.

There's no NTC or NMC on that offer sheet?

Nope. We can trade him to 29 teams.

Since we all are either relatives or close friends of Shea (or Sheep as we call him at family dinners) I am sure that he told you that he plans to request a trade to Minnesota to be with Ryan again.
Thank you for your time.

Gillis was planning to offersheet him 14m/1yr, but he knew it was going to be matched easily.

Ah. And imo, that wouldn't be worth 4 1st rounders since he's be a UFA in the following year anyways.

so your owner will go from 1 huge contract to 5 in 2 years, when he has repeatedly hated them?

Nashville had the leverage to not overpay until they had to

I think it's pretty obvious he wanted money if he chose Flyers over Canucks

The 1 year/14M offer is the same as the first year of his new contract. Why would it be about money in that case?

How so? The chances of them matching a 1 year deal is far greater than a 14 year deal...

And? That doesn't mean he wanted to stay in Nashville. Again, he's had a lot of time to make a deal with Nashville. If he really wanted to stay, he would have made it worked long before all of this
