basically a man ascends through cordonata and views the city of rome. inspired by the town and the marcus aurelius statue (campidoglia) feels a need to fulfill his male duties of becoming a "vitruvian man." Sees the church of St. Peter and a central dogma is revealed; steep long road to be one with God and quick unfulfilled road for worldy pleasures. Everything around him reinforces this idea, from the cordonata and how the man overlooks the city and directly sees church of St. Peter. Long road to God but it is the only road that is important in an elevated state.

*mandate works but it's redundant in terms of the subjects involved and its kind of ironic as how godly powers helps man while my point is how man wants to be godly.

the top is just a tl;dr version of what i wrote under it lol
i read the top and realized how it made no sense at all so I added the bottom part

I would go with decree but its too formal and physical. i'm trying to go past the classical roman lifestyle of human rule and give the power back to god in a way. the way the campigodlia is setup is that the pilgram goes through the ancient roman ruins and arrives at the hilltop. looks back at mankind's past and looks at the truest form of life which is the church. so it would kind of debunk my entire paper i think
