Just because Pau Gasol is out? The Rockets barely beat them at home last time when Gasol didn't play, neither did Steve Nash. The Lakers were 3-point favorites going into that game. And the Lakers had a 17-point lead in the 3rd quarter, also a 3-point lead with 3 minutes left.

It took an epic collapse and choke job by the Lakers aka "Hack A Howard" for the Rockets to come back and win in the final few minutes. The Rockets took their first lead of the game with 2:38 left in the game off the Toney Douglas three.

I hope the Rockets win tonight but covering 8 points against a superstar-esque Lakers team? That seems a little too much to ask for. Who's the drunk at Vegas headquarters handing out that silly official spread? You can't be serious with that crazy line.

-8 because their starting big man is Robert Sacre, Ryan.

Gasol, Howard and Hill are out. Robert Sacre is going to be starting at center(lol) and there is a good chance we might see some Artest at the 5.

Stupid spread. Sure glad I banked 1500 or else I'd be going 1500 on Lakers +8. Hell, I'd take the Lakers straight up at 1:1 odds.

LOL, D12 is the reason they choked away the lead the last game. Houston fouled him 5 times late. He made 2 of 10 giving them a chance.

Not sure if that's a bad thing...

I said the same thing yesterday, Ryan. Hopefully it doesn't turn out that way.

In terms of the loss column, the Rockets are only three games behind the Warriors for the 5th seed and four games behind the Spurs and Grizzlies for the 4th and 3rd seed. If the Rockets can maintain a winning streak, home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs isn't out of the question. I don't want to end up the 6th seed with a team like Memphis or San Antonio sitting in the third seed. LOL

In theory, you're merely taking out Dwight Howard and playing Steve Nash.

One of the worst free throw shooters in the NBA with arguably the best free throw shooter in the NBA.

I think the Lakers are better off going into this game, especially if it's another tight one late, as oppose to the last game they lost in Houston.
