I doubt anyone knows what it is but TLDR version is if you love and follow baseball, prospects, running and managing your own team vs other managers, you could very well be interested in this. It's basically an in depth Fantasy baseball where you manage and run all the functions of your team.

You can also replay season's from like 1942, etc..

There are many different league formats; such as where you are assigned an MLB franchise and you keep a certain amount of prospects that get called up from that teams minors each year and the rest go in a live draft each year.

I'm involved in a 20 team league (35 man rosters) and a 28 team league (I've won back to back World Series's in this league) -

This is my 20 team league (after losing in the World Series last year, I decided to rebuild); and went young. Traded away Wainwright, Iwakuma, Hammel, Jose Reyes, Chase Utley, Jayson Werth)

Draft style ( I love this style to the 20 man league):
All first year carded rookies are made available in one live draft
Each team is allowed to select 1 "Bonus Baby (BB)" in the draft and can be taken in any round (12 rounds) - A BB is one who has not played in the majors. For instance a team drafted Joe Mauer when he was still in High School.
**A team can not have more than 2 Bonus Babies" on their roster at one time. (For instance I have Yoan Moncada and Kyle Zimmer currently as my BB's; if neither one of them pitch in the majors; I could not take a BB in the upcoming draft in January; unless I cut one of them)

Long story short I have by far the worst record in the league this year (see the standings: My team is the Stingrays). I also have 2 firsts and 2 2nd rd picks in the upcoming draft in January.

If you have questions or are actually interested in learning more; feel free to PM me. Also google "APBA Baseball" and there's forums and just general discussions about baseball, and other sports.

It's actually pretty cool to be apart of.

at least we aren't called the Dirty Rats like another team lmao.

This is my San Diego Padres team (28 team league) that I've won back to back championships with and possibly 3-peat with (my team has the best record currently)

It's 20 teams; pitching is better on most teams (except for mine). Of course some players are going to have down stats.

It actually takes into pretty realistically.. SA4 next to his name means he hits lefty's better than righty's (they use LHP/RHP splits from the current year to determine player platoons) so technically he's facing a grade 17 Fernandez instead of a 13.

They calculate all the hitting cards for each player based off of a how a players stats.

My 28 team league is more balanced where hitters are pretty realistic with what their actually stats were from that season.

They calculate all pitchers grades, control, strikeout letters. It's actually pretty close.

On the forums there's people who do replays of every year going all the way back from the early 1900's.. and they come out pretty realistic to how it happened that same year; there's people who have put together All-Time leagues assembling each organizations best teams roster. It's kinda cool if you are into that kinda thing.
