So, i was reading through these hunting threads earlier today, and i was wondering

are people on JSP super ignorant as to the point of hunting (both some of the hunters, and the anti hunters), or is hunting completly different in colorado

In colorado

• We hunt for food
• Population control
• Wildlife Management (same as above)

If we weren't shooting that deer, and killing it, Nature would.
There is only enough "supplies" around to support *1000* deer, yet there are *1330* deer. That means we sell 330 tags.
So to say that hunters are cruel, animal abusers, is that really fair?

-Now a counter arguement is gonna be, thats nature, let it play out.
Right now, your sitting on your computer reading this. that requires electricity, a house (or some sort of building), a computer, and many other things.
To create these things, you had to take away from the habitat these animals thrive in. Thus, giving us over-population of animals.
So, are you a hypocrite, or just uneducated then?

Most people (from what I read) seem to have no idea what they're talking about. They've never been hunting, probably don't know anybody that hunts (and I can see some cases where people simply have never been outside). Some people may think that meat comes from grocery stores.

I'm perfectly fine with hunting (I do it myself every once in a while), as long as it's for food and for population control. Not a big fan of trophy hunting. We just had out first wolf season in Minnesota and there's absolutely no need for that. There is not a big wolf population here (and they only sold 200 tags) and you can't really eat them.

Are you really that ignorant to not realize that everyone in that thread got the fuck trolled out of them?

The only thing I have a problem with is trophy hunting... killing just for the sake of killing. I hunt every year

You say you hunt for food? Try not using a gun, and using a bow or your bare hands like a real man, and don't take pics of your kills and brag about how many points it has. It's not a game, it's survival.

I've killed deers with my bare hands jumping out of 40 foot trees, I don't need a gun bro.

Hunting is not a sport, it takes no athleticism or skill it's a matter of out of shape redneck creeps laying in the woods stalking helpless animals that are out there just trying to survive.

Play a real sport rofl. You're not doing anything good for society by hunting besides showing how desperate you are to not be so inferior in your social life.

You are not hunting for food, you're not some mountain man with no contact to life. You're on the internet for bro you ain't fooling anyone. We all know that as soon as your 3 dinners worth of deer meat is gone you will hop in your truck and hit up the nearest grocery store.
I'm sure you enjoy eating the meat, but that is not your motivation for killing the animal.

You do it for a quick adrenaline rush because there is nothing better to do in your life. There is no skill behind it, its America, most people know how to shoot a gun and be quiet. The only skill you have is sitting in 1 spot doing nothing and you have been training yourself for years because you are a basement dwelling nerd who feels tough once a year when he kills a poor defenseless deer.

You're the ignorant one, its 2012 and you're still slaughtering animals for no reason except entertainment, and you run to the place you belong aka the internet asap to brag about your kill.
