googled what might be causing this and it said to download some dpc latency checker, ended up seeing shit like this randomly

then it's back to normal for a while
any idea what's causing that? the sound issue showed up a month and a half ago, i messed with drivers and fixed it for a month or so, and then it comes back for whatever reason
i have a feeling my computer is trying to split audio to two different ports but i'm only using my g35 headset which is through usb
this didn't happen before i had plugged in speakers alongside my headset, so that might be the cause of the skipping but now i'm confused as to what's causing the random spikes in latency
note, the spikes aren't making my sound skip, the sound skipping is very random, sometimes every few seconds, other times once an hour or some shit
i was on win7 hp and the issue was happening, fixed it, it came back, installed win7 ultimate and the issue is still happening, after i thought i fixed it
i thought maybe it was my logitech gaming software shit, a faulty driver version, installed an older version and it was okay for a while then the issue came back yet again..
thought maybe realtek audio drivers, also no..
*also, i was getting random increases/decreases in volume, specifically when in games, reverting to an older version of lgs fixed that for me, so the newest lgs version might not be a possibility for me if the sound issues i'm having right now are caused by a bad new version
any ideas what to do?
this is seriously so fucking annoying. sound issue happening everywhere, not just certain programs/during certain tasks
perhaps faulty sata cables? or cooling issues? some kind of interference?
