Hey guys, I would really appreciate some help figuring something out for me.

So, I have a Geforce 555m in my Laptop. I have all of Nvidia's Control Panel settings set to make the 555m the primary "go-to" for all displays (Global Settings).

When I run my DXDIAG to check for GPU memory, the Display tab is still showing my Intel Integrated Display Adapter with exactly 4047mb of dedicated (Total Aprox Memory) memory.

Basically, I am worried that my system is still running my Intel HD card when I would rather it run my 555m at ALL times to ensure MAXIMUM performance ALWAYS. I don't care if it causes more heat or my CPU's to run higher, I think my system can handle it and I keep it cool.

So, How do I do this? :(

Most laptops can't disable the integrated graphics because their BIOS is locked. It switches to the integrated graphics to reduce heat and power consumption, preventing the parts from failing and reducing degradation.

So, what is the point of the Nvidia control panel having the option to "Run ALL processes with the Geforce 555m"? Or, rather more importantly, why won't my comp at least acknowledge that I am using the 555m and show me it's stats...

if you can do more demanding applications like medium gaming at 30fps then i don't see what the problem is, because it means optimus is working.

if you used the 555m for everything your battery would go a lot faster.
