She has an HP Pavilion Entertainment PC. (laptop)
She somehow put a system password before the setup or anything so you can't even hit F10 to get setup or something ...


Anyone know how to get rid of this ?

Also it is F1 on HPs to enter the BIOS.

u cant enter bios.
its a SYSTEM password.

Anyway, to fix this you need to reset bios. Youll need to find the cmos battery inside the laptop and remove it for a while (30-40secs) untill it's clear - this will likely require pulling the whole laptop apart though

One idea may be to flash the bios if you can - might clear it aswell
another suggestion is to google the manual for your laptop brand and see what it says.

I was thinking of this, I did the same in my Old hewlett packard computer(OLD) but i wasnt sure if it was the same for laptops.
But is that a pain in the ass to do or kinda easy to take apart but just time consuming ?
how do u flash the bios ? if that means getting into it forget it cuz u cant at all...
