I do not understand why this is happening, everything is up to date, video driver, all that, but my sound mysteriously poofed on me
everytime I right click the yellow question mark, and try to install a driver it says cannot install, does this happen often? Is it an easy fix or am I completely screwed here?

in the list with the yellow question marks, I have highlighted them, pushed delete to get rid of them, rebooted computer, it finds new hard ware, I click to install the driver and it gives that message
that is in the screen shot, bottom right, not being able to install it, so yes, I have rebooted several times :)

no, it doesn't install anything, it says can not find necessary software, which makes no sense to me, cuz when I updated the video driver and all that, it worked fine, but not sound

yes 4 days ago I had to reformat and partition and install windows xp service pack 2, I was using windows 7 ultimate, but it came up with a prompt ' this copy of windows is not genuine '
so I installed xp ( my copy of xp is legal ) but now since I put xp on, the sound is gone :(
the computer was bought at the local pawn shop and the seller told me the operating system ( windows 7 ultimate ) was legit, well he lied!

this is the whole thing, I'm trying to do this for 4 days now, where on earth can I find a driver for the xp sound, I keep trying, it says software can't be found :( that's why I made this thread, with the screen shot to show
that it won't fix it, it is onboard sound, no sound card, but as you can see in the screen shot, it's not there, so I don't how to fix it.
