OK so to jump right into it .. what i want to do is reformat PC

i was wondering if there was a way to reformat and be able to save and not loose everything on PC lol

like obviously i know what reformatting is but i basically want to get rid of everything but there is shit on PC that i will want/need once its done the reformatting.
such as certain PC games, favorites&bookmarks on my browser certain files, programs, apps etc .. unfortunately i do not have an external HD accessible the only thing i do have atm
is a small sized flash drive but i know its not going to be enough so i am looking for other options

One thing i was thinking of but i do not know anything about, i have never used nor do i even know if this would help/work but some kind of cloud service and if someone does suggest this
which 100% free service would you suggest? also just to point out i mainly only need it to not loose my stuff so all i care about is for it to work and have enough storage for my stuff

thanks guys i appreciate the help

Don't forget you can use your phone for back-up too, especially if you have a big SD card in it.

copy the information you want to save to something other than the partition on your hard drive you are reformatting/reinstalling on. If you only have one partition you could possibly make a new partition and move this data you want to save to it, then reformat the original partition and then you will be done. Another option is to save the data to cd/dvd/flashdrive/external hard drive.

A word of caution, don't bother trying to save games and applications as often times you will need to reinstall them again anyway, and generally you can either just redownload them or reinstall them from where ever you got them (cdroms and such). Only save stuff you can't easily replace. You might want to consider saving the "save game files" from your games of course. For that just do a google search to find how/where your game saves that information and copy those files (these files will generally be very small). Once you have removed this stuff from your data you want to save, you might find what is left willl fit on your flash drive.
