Probably hardcore jealousy.

edit: It didn't make much sense to me timeline wise though; I thought a good deal of time had passed before he tried to catch up to her, but they made it seem like he came right after her.

Oh god, what have I done. I just finished reading Veritas and just realized what a big mistake that was =\.

Well, as Stephen King said, "It's the journey, not the ending." Was still worth reading.

I couldn't find anything on it. Numerous people said the artist gave up on it, didn't sell well in Korea etc. It's possible if the writer finds a new artist or if the artist changes his mind but neither seem likely to me.
