Genjutsu could have made Kakashi think it wasn't Rin, until the last second when it was too late.
Kakashi could have been MC'd w/ his consciousness still watching what his body does.

I think how the sage of 6th paths beat the 10 tails was using sage mode, the 10tails is the god of all chakara period, but we know nature energy is different from normal chakara. I think the sage, threw deep meditation was able to absorb and control nature chakara to fight the 10 tails and then seal the chakara of the 10 tails into his self separating it from the body, Then i think the sage with the newly acquired chakara developed the rinnigian, I think the sage separated the hatred from the chakara like naruto did and thats why he did not inherit the shargian , I do not think the sage was born with the rinn, Now on to the Elder Brother, 1st born son of the sage

I think the reason his eyes are slightly different from the sages and the rinnigian is because he inherited a bit of the hatred and and malice from the 10 tails , This can be shown how he attacked his younger brother due to his father making the younger the head of the family on his death bed. The nature of the majority of the shargians tech are corrupt , for example Susanno When you use it it takes the current wounds you have and makes them worse and deteriorates your body, Ameratsu requires a blood sacrifice to activate i.e then you use it your eye emits blood from the tear duct where as the Rinnin has no such draw backs other then needing a huge amount of chakara

I think obito was the one under a genjustu. While he is in the spiral suit, he is the one who kills rin. He did have that "wierd thought" in the recent chapter.

I think that the perspective from this chapter is altered with. AKA its how obito saw it but not what really happened
