what i didn't understand though was:

- No hints given as to how he died, perhaps when Kugel and his Mech went through the portal, something went wrong and killed Kugel
- It sounds as if Striker it is trying to compensate for not having Kugel by reverting to its default protocols, and extrapolating from them that it should 'reform' the planet into a second Avalon.
- As soon as the body was exposed to air, it decomposed, so...I assume Striker kept the body in a sterile environment with no oxygen. The holograms were probably digitally created, which is why they were a bit grainy during the later part of the battle, as Striker was using lots of power to fight Chamber + Ledo.
Alternate theory for 1 and 2: Kugel WAS alive for quite a few years, taking over and gaining power, and then actually did die of some disease or other cause, leaving Striker to finish the work he started.
