I only remember a scene, and it's a bit vague in my mind. Might be a really obvious movie.

The scene is a family eating dinner in a kitchen that is in fact a jail cell, iirc. The hero of the movie goes in to a basement of some kind and sees this family, they seem to have been lobotomized and believe they are actually happy in their home or something.
I think the hero tries to bring them back to reality but they don't want to leave their place.
