ok so vegetables are alright, how about invertebrates and animals with leprocy?
you just end up with the 'are animals conscious' debate again, by the way yes they are just not the the same inner monologue, aware of consciousness, level of human consciousness
dunno are they totally alright - so maybe we should eat more perennial species or smtn
i wouldnt eat invertebrates unless my survival was up to it - id think they feel some sort of pain but its not proven in either way
dunno about leprosy in animals - if its incurable and they will die soon suffering then i think its ~ fair enough to kill them (tho is is safe to eat lerpous animals)
not just conciousness but pain
from animals maybe some insects would feel pain the least (if they do feel any, not sure but some insects probably do)
plants probably have / have some conciousness and share conciousness
