no, because i grew up on final fantasy.
and will never accept harry potter, a watered down childrens hollywood story rip-off of every RPG ever, as a replacement.

OH, this was novel first. a british novel written by a british novelist with nothing to do at all with the japanese final fantasy series and absolutely nothing to do with hollywood - until the money grabbers saw the opportunity.
i was about 12 when the fist book came out, perfect for me, i liked it, so i read each novel
i am not a fan of the movie franchise, nor do i need to be

but if you want to criticize the franchise in any shape or form you'd probs have to either read the novels(to criticize them) or watch the films(to criticize them)
you've down neither so cant really offer an opinion ^

cool +1 though

its the same story as any RPG,
i know enough about harry potter to make an educated guess
doesnt matter japanese, british, etc
id rather play a game and get the same story, concept, etc

yea and hollywood ruins it too,
like chronicle

I grew up playing FF, they are my favourite videogame franchise along with Zelda (the Square ones only though), and I still loved the HP books... the movies I didn't really like the first 4 ones, then they got better

The first Harry Potter movie will always be my favorite. My favorite character, however, has to be Neville. I can't begin to describe how he grew through the series, especially his final scene in Deathly Hallows pt 2 was near a shock if you remember him in the first few movies.
