I dont intentionally go out looking for computers, but if i happen to see one out at the curb amoungst garbage, i typically stop and grab it while im on one of my errands..

my most recent frankenstein build im about to undergo... I've been collecting parts for about 5 weeks now and i havent spent one cent so far for any of these parts.. but i will need to get some thermal paste when i go to complete this build.

e/ yes some parts are scratched, or slightly abused.. but all parts still work

You "found" 2 GTX 690's in someones garbage?

one in one of the 3 cases i picked up tonight, and one i found shortly after the new year.. identical 690's

you found ddr4 ram in the trash along with a 950 pro ssd? I don't get it, why do I not believe you found all this in the trash

2 cases had ddr4 ram both i picked up from the same spot. 1 had an i76700k which was burnt, and the other case had the i5, a burnt psu and burnt motherboard..

believe or not, your choice.. still my gain..

im assuming they had a power surge.. cause one of the hard drives and one solid state drive were dead as well

sorry don't buy it at all, finding all these computers at the garbage. Most people using parts like that would be building their own, and would know parts can be salvaged.

most people are stupid when it comes to building computers.. they just buy them.. and know how to use them.. build them and they are lost.. simple fix when it stops working, throw it out and buy a new one..

Who would throw out 2 690s?

Quad SLI runs like shit and the 600 TDP on those cards alone aren't even worth it. Plus if I remember correctly Fermi chips run hot as hell and putting 4 into a rig is ridiculous.

also @ m7 and 950
