I'm buying Canadian and since the exchange rate is garbage I can't pay an american site

Budget: $1500 including taxes + shipping and monitor (i can spend up to 1500, if i can get a great PC for less i would rather do that of course)

More specific use (what games, what programs): Dota 2, CS:GO, H1Z1, probably stuff like GTA5 when it comes on PC

Planned time until purchase: Within the next week.

Do you need an Operating System?: Yes.

Do you have any specific preferred components?: Nope.

Do you need a sound or wireless card?: I do connect to the internet wirelessly through my router. Not sure if that means I need a wireless card.

Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?: Stock.

Do you need a monitor? mouse? keyboard?: Need monitor.

Zip code/location? (Shipping costs): Ontario, Canada

Thanks!

Same city, same budget. Check out my thread from fairly recently

I just printed out one of those builds, brought it to NCIX and they had most of it in store, and just had to order the graphics card.

I had my upstairs neighbour help assemble it though. There are people on Kijiji who do it for like 30-40$

970 is like 415$ in canaduh for some reason, so went with a 960 (which is plenty)
like meat said, you can buy everything from NCIX (pricematch from other websites)
you can also pay them 50$ to assemble/install OS/test parts, but i suggest u build it yourself its fun and like playing with legos.

970 and a sexy themed build for roughly 200$ more... totally worth it!

Is there a big difference between AMD and Intel processors?

Also windows 7 or 8? I hear windows 10 is coming soon

Also the place where my pc is going doesn't have the best ventilation actually it's pretty abysmal

Not for gaming AMD vs Intel... at your budget including windows and a monitor in canada.. i wouldn't go for the i5 since the processor itself is 260$ plus a 100$ motherboard. so this means you get to spent another 100$ on your gpu which is super important... Regardless of windows 7 or 8... you get a free upgrade to windows 10.. BUT i prefer windows 8.1 over windows 7

Where is it going?

Ok cool thanks

I have this computer desk and the place where the tower goes is in this little pull out cubby

I guess I can keep It pulled out but yeah it's extremely poorly ventilated when pushed in

I might actually have a Windows 7 cd lying around somewhere.... Not sure. If I do you think ncix would use it
