Before buying all this, I just wanted to ask what you think? could anything be changed to something better?

Personally I would get a better case and better motherboard....other than that...Nice build.

i'd lose the i7 unless you NEED hyperthreading... thats the only benefit of the i7 over the i5.. and more than likely you won't use it

Get a z87 mobo since you have a k series cpu

if you can get a 550-650 corsair M series for cheaper than that 750.. get that

unless you are running VMs or multiboxing like hell I'd suggest getting only 8 gigs of ram.... anything higher is pointless

what are you using it for?

it's a PC for a friend of my brother

he is most likely going to be playing the new BF4 and other new games. and Guild Wars 2 and other MMO's..

So I should just get a i5 cpu, lower the RAM to 8 GB, get a new mobo, and a PSU with less Watt?

that model of mobo is fine just get the z87 version

Should I get water cooling, or something different to cool the CPU?

Unless he is going to OC you don't need one... if you want to get one for him

3570k is the last gen... 4670k is the newest gen

2500k - Sandy

3570k - Ivy

4670k - Haswell

Haswell is the newest



And that build looks good


Ram is ram... 99.99% of all ram is lifetime warranty.. brands dont matter IMO
