I got my custom build desktop not long ago. And I bought cheap 40 dollar speakers from radio shack. They are gigaware 2.1 42 W multimedia speakers. They work, give sound, yet very shitty quality lol. they are 40 bucks....

I do not have a sound card. I am wondering what are any decent desktop speakers under $150? And would a sound card help the quality of sound a lot? Is a sound card worth it? I like to listen to music, like Pandora, and watch movies, and play games. Playing games, my speakers now seem fine, but listening to Pandora, its quite shit quality.
