So I have had a few other discussions in the past and am coming very close to buying this desktop. Looking to purchase within the next 1-7 days. Sooner the better :] . Getting anxious bout this.
I have these 4 basic builds without some extra things that might get in the way of comparison. The main thing that I am trying to compare and decide on is the CPU and Motherboard. For these 4 builds I listed them from highest price to lowest price order. I am leaning towards the Intel i5 even though its just a bit more expensive, I have heard it performs better for the most part. I am only looking to use this computer for gaming for games up to battlefield 3 and Crysis 3. I heard the AMD is better for video editing stuff, which i will NOT be doing.
Also here is a link to tiger direct that seems like they have a decent combo on a AMD CPU and motherboard, if i do go for AMD. Would this be a good deal for AMD and if so would the mobo and CPU slow anything else down?

I am aware that these links for the builds are missing some parts. The GPU I explained below. I will prob get the monitor in store for around $100-150. And the case, mouse, keyboard, speakers, and wireless card. The most expensive build i have listed costs $658. So with the Monitor being at most $150, case around $50, keyboard, mouse, and speakers should not be more than $50 total. So the total price I am looking at should be at the most $908. Seems pretty decent? Edit: shit.... forgot the GPU price lol, its $290, so thats like $1200. Now its over budget. I almost forgot thats why i am asking about the 4 basic builds i got there. From the most expensive build to the cheapest looks like i can save around $150. Would it still run the same with a cheaper CPU and Motherboard from the first build to the last? Or would it slow down a bit? Cause if i can save $150 for no difference in speed and performance, i will do it. Thanks!
I plan on getting the Radeon 7950 from Newegg. I was looking at the 7870 XT since its cheaper but, the 7950 comes with 3 games for FREE. That sold me. Heres the link to their promos :

The first 2 builds have the i5 CPU but the motherboards differ in price slightly. Would it make any difference if I just go with the cheaper motherboard?
Here are the 4 basic builds:

- Zip Code or Location: South East United States
- Specific Use: Gaming for games all the way up to Battlefield 3 and Crysis on Ultra Settings with FPS averaging at least 40 FPS.
- Any preferred components?: Looking mainly at Intel i5 CPU, but if you think the AMD is better let me know why and such, open to discuss, thanks.
- Any spare parts you can re-use?: No.
- Overclocking your processor?: No.
- Need an Operating System?: Yes. Windows 7, 64 Bit.
- Need a Monitor? / Mouse? / Keyboard?: Yes.
- Need a Wireless Card or Adapter? Yes.
- Need Another Component? (Specify): looking for at least 8 GB of Ram. Only looking for around 500 GB for Hard Drive. Then again it seems often the 500 gb hard drive is the same price as the 1TB hard drive, so might as well go 1 TB.
Other Useful Info
- Preferred Case Features (Ex: Color, Side Window, Flashy): Looking for a decent build that is cheap as possible but if I spend a few bucks more to upgrade a part for a decent performance boost I will pay a few bucks more.
