Ended up getting a deal on another 7850 of the same type and brand, so I'm gonna be xfiring....My mobo only supports xfire, so essentially this computer is more or less as built as it's ever gonna be and then in a few years I'll start all over with a clean slate as most do. But for now I think it can handle mostly anything out there maxed out in 1080, I don't have a large landscape dual dvi monitor, just a 23" Samsung LED.

Let me know how it goes, I'm currently running a single 7850. Similar setup, single 23.6" LG IPS monitor.
I haven't been gaming as much as expected, but no game I've played has any problems running at max settings. My mobo supports 3 way crossfire or SLI so I've been considering future upgrades whether it be dual 7850's, or purchasing 1-3 newer GPUS lol.
Let me know how reliable it runs with games if you don't mind.. I won't be upgrading cards anytime soon, but the more info accumulated by then the better..

what's a dick? if we don't determine what's a dick when we begin to discuss we'll be both confused.

if your current single 7850 works well, do not get another unless it is 50$.

I mean in 6 months we will have a new generation from amd, and the single 8850 will perform likely better than dual 7850 and not cost a whole lot.

Consume less power create less heat... generally less of a hassle.

okay so lets put aside possible games that wont support, more heat, more power used, micro stutter is still a thing, and the fact that scaling won't be great across the board. When the game supports crossfire and has good scaling then sure, you win?

Yea, it would be dumb to buy a second 7850.

Yea like always.

micro stutter has been solved with those november drivers, scaling is 90% or more, crossfire profiles can be created have you tried radeon pro?

also each driver release it gets closer to like it was on release date, and when they release newer cards I will still get performance increase unlike amd abandonment, shaft I had to think of 2 yrs until my next set this year is cpu/mobo/ram, and looking at a 24u rack for some rackable mixer, amp, etc
