For streaming, you're both going down the wrong path.

I don't know what's wrong with the links, but here:

CPU: ASUS M5A97 R2.0 Motherboard - $105.00
Mobo: AMD FX-8320 8 Core Processor - $169.00
GPU: Galaxy GeForce GTX 660 GC 2GB - $209.00
PSU: Corsair VS550 ATX Power Supply - $62.00 <-- Re-branded TX series for international countries
G.Skill F3-14900CL9D-8GBXL 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 - $79.00
Seagate Barracuda 1TB ST1000DM003 - $69.00

Sub-Total: $693.00

I don't know about taxes, shipping, and other costs, so you'll have to figure that out.

The 8320 is worth nothing against an overclocked 3570k, which can clock quite high with the 212 EVO and runs the games much better. Streaming is hardly an issue on the 3570k, even at 1080p. The limiting factor in the build I suggested would be the graphics card, which can't stream stuff like Battlefield 3 on max graphics at 1080p 60 fps.

The FX-8350 would be a better choice, but that is also behind the 3570k for gaming, and encoding a 1080p stream is well within the boundaries of the 3570k.

Oh boy, here we go.

The 8350 is a hand-picked 8320 that's been given a slight boost.

A youtube video of a guy who doesn't show his benchmark sources, and gives no real information? why would you even link that. He even compares the CPUs in a game like battlefield, which is coded for parallel processing, making the sequential processing part (CPU) the non-limiting factor, which means you can use a generation or two old cpu with something like a gtx 580 and you'll run it on max graphics.

It's behind the 3570k in some games, is better than the 3570k for streaming, and for overall computer usage, is 5-10% slower.

You mean to tell me you can pick out a 5-10% performance difference with the naked eye?

Do your research. You'll find a lot of Intel fanboys out there crying about how the 3570k vs the 8350 is better and whanot, and yet, as I hinted in my last post, wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the two rigs if placed in front of them.

EDIT: And you obviously didn't watch the video.

@ GunDoG - You've seen me and several others on this forum push the 8350 for reasons similar to mine. It's difficult not to, especially when it's priced the way it is.

I've watched it before. You're correct the 8320/8350 are better than the 3570k for streaming alone, but considering the 3570k isn't even close to having a problem, it overclocks higher and runs the games better, why would you suggest the 8320?

Would u be able to make a build using the 8350 for me? using the same Graphics card? the HIS 7850 iceQ x turbo 2GB?

Would be interested to see what you come up with, including ur choice of power supply. Thnx :3 its also cheaper than the i5 3570K but i noticed the mobo's for the AMD's are abit more expensive though.
