it will render 2 times faster then your current cpu. downside for you is you have a locked multiplier if you want to overclock.

i'd rather recommend to get a xeon with a locked multiplier over a i7 tbh.

it should show some performance boost since the speed boost would be actually be shown since the cpu is 100% usage when rendering.
but i'm unsure of how big the difference would be.
