for the price of the 3770k you would be mad to go with the 8350.

I jumped on the i7 2600k deal for $200 @ MC last year, worth it because the i5 was the same price. With a $40 difference I'd definitely make the jump....And yeah, no on the AMD route. With your budget you should most definitely be running an Intel machine.

Get a Hyper 212 for a cooler and call it a day....I OC my i7 to 4.5ghz and it stays under 70C @ full load...not bad as far as I'm concerned, my case isn't amazing for airflow.

FWIW I just built a pc last week (got the i7 from microcenter ;p). I have stock cooling/not overclocking and I'm idling at 31C on all cores. Load temps have also been fine with stock.

189.99 for i5 3750k

229.99 for i7 3770k

worth the 40 bucks for gaming / streaming?

Input?

For the price difference, i7 defiantly.

You could also go the cheaper route and get an 8350 and compatible mobo.  But if you have the money to shell out for a 3770k, go for it.

Don't cheap out
