I am building a i5 2500k system soon for around 920 dollars with shipping. I would suggest getting something like that build for the price. Laptops in my opinion aren't the best, I want a cheap one just to use while I volunteer at the USO but they got some nice i5s there that I can check out. I don't know if you go out more than me, but I say towers are better.

Haven't looked to much, but I seen this, and it's got an alright graphics card and an alright processor for the price. Only dual core, so don't expect BFBC2 at max settings. But it's alright and 1080p. I'll keep looking though

Spend the extra 200 and get that, you can also get an i5@2.30GHz for 100 dollars more, but it's a dual core. I suggest the one I just posted though. It will run most things at medium or high if you are lucky.
