I am not really looking for cost effective right now because I know prices fluctate.

I am just looking at what kind of parts would be good for an elite gaming desktop.

Say a $2,000 budget (including 2x monitors)

I am just looking for elite parts for the build, not necessarily going to build it yet, just wondering what parts would be best to use.

I would be using the pc for high end gaming and streaming.
Would need everything like sound card and what not.

Would prefer an intel processor.

Get this MOBO
MSI Z97-G55 MSI

Intel i5 Haswell with custom heatsink
A nice samsung SSD 120-240GB
Throw in a 1TB seagate
Grab a corsair, antec, or higher end OCZ PSU. Gold or platinum models (also read where they are manufactured) 750W is all you'll need, get 1000 if you don't care.
Find 2 120HZ monitors by samsung or ASUS, LED is a must. (This will be your biggest expense) - Also you could opt in for 1x 120HZ and 2x 60HZ peripheral monitors.
Throw in 12GB of 2133 G-skill blue ram
Add H2o cooling, or 5+ quiet fans
Use a corsair case for aesthetics and to save a buck (you'll need it)
Buy a Creative sound blaster titanium HD sound card
USE a 4GB GTX 770.
A cheap $40 cd drive.


Buy yourself a Pair of sennheiser or beyerdynamic headphones (when they go on sale its such a steal!! Amazing headphones) Sennheisers made in Ireland Booo YA!

DVD drives are 15$ sale, 18-20$ regular price

Corsair has a great line of cases for very cheap that are aesthetically nice and organized as i listed. He can decide which one he likes best, mid tower, full tower,
He can find his own exact PSU I'm not going to go research it for him.
What particular models does he need? buy whats on sale, get a samsung EVO SSD the newest series which is probably 880 by now. He doesn't even need Samsung, buy the ones on sale SSD has minor performance improvement.

Samsung and ASUS make very good 120hz, buy the ones that are on sale. The brand of the fans and cooling aren't important its not hard to find a reputable one. Buy the ones on SALE!!
He is going to need money to pay for the monitors and sound system, $2000 is tight.

So vague about what? He's looking for ideas not for you to go sift through builds and parts from the internet.

if your not going to bother getting a proper build together, why bother at all? thats why the builders here don't waste their time on "ideas", because it will change. but with you, your throwing around some pretty vague "ideas". and, quite frankly, being some what of a fanboy on the shit you choose. he might pick a component that has less reliability, less performance or bad specs.

also, 2000$ is not tight, you haven't even asked him what his priorities and uses are going to be for the rig.

I can relate to that. He didn't ask for a build he's asking for ideas, so i told him the parts that are a must, and i left spaces open for him to choose parts that are less important. (To save money for what really matters)

$2000 is tight.
2 monitors are going to cost $600+, the sound card is $200, the headphones are $200+ Do you even own a full system?

But go ahead you go google pcpartpicker and sift through other reviews then list this guy an exact build, if you think thats what he's looking for.

lol? okay with what you wanna pick, it is tight. in reality, decent headphones will be 80$, sound card wont be 200$, monitors can easily be 300$ for two 60Hz monitors, 350$ for better models.

Go google this guy some builds other people actually own, that you have never touched.

You don't own a 120HZ monitor either, what do you know about giving advice for entertainment systems.
