Need one or the other i would like to play skyrim wow battlefield 4 and DayZ on it but here is the thing i really need a laptop so i can bring to work and play but my boss said i could just get a desktop for my desk but i would like something i could also bring home i mean i know building a PC would be cheaper and more powerfull but more bulkier to transport back and forth to my house also that too i would like to use this at my house to play games with also

well ide like everyones opinion price doesent really matter just trying to keep under 1800....i also would like to play everything on max settings i know it would be hard on a laptop though

something you can carry in one hand
And buy two screens, one for work and one for home?

thats what i was thinking saw alot of the bitfenix prodigy builds on youtube cool looking case and not too too big but also i forgot to addd a drawback at my work is its extremely dusty im a aggriculture inspector we have machines that samplers work up samples of many types of grain and it gets all in the office part

build a good gaming desktop ( 1k) for home & a cheap laptop for work ( assuming you don't do anything really demanding on it , 400$ ).

thats what fans are for
and maybe a mini compressor, to dust it out

Laptop would get dusty quicker, being so compact
