looking at this ladys computer what happens is randomly when she is using the computer 1 monitor will turn off and the other will start flashing..
1 is using onboard vga
the other is using a video card with dvi
the vga one is the one that flashes and the dvi one the power button goes orange but gets no video.

sometimes a restart will bring it back, other times it will randomly just start working again. for a test I uninstalled the video drivers and it was working like that.. although I only did that for a few minutes.
the other day it was working perfectly until we experienced a brief power outage then it started acting up again. I also had installed the newest drivers I could find but that didn't seem to help
