im sure this has come up many times but im asking it Mac vs pc

im intending on buying a laptop simply because when i move out i want a laptop not a whole computer

i dont game much on the pc but i cant say i never have, im more of a console gamer

i simply going to make it my tv web browser pretty much everything a computer does im simply asking mac vs pc

pc because you are not doing anything that mac excels at.

500$ windows laptop will do what you want.

mac you pay more for value per dollar.

if you aren't great with computers, people tend to have less virus problems with macs etc.

you would be fine with a windows computer. but macs are neater for web browsing.
people usually just buy small form factor computers & hook them up to their tv instead of buying a laptop & hooking it up to their tv all the time.

If you don't mind spending 2-3x the price for the same hardware, get a mac.

Show me where this actually happens please. The "Apple tax" is really not that bad anymore and hasn't been since the Intel switch. And don't post a gaming desktop vs. a mac pro because that's comparing consumer apples to enterprise-class oranges.
