what is the big difference between all these tablets? I have never owned and only occasionally used a tablet but I am thinking it would be nice for my wife. she doesn't do any gaming or anything just likes to go online and browse at clothes and what-not
would like to stay cheap but don't want something that dies a few months later
is an ipad really worth it or would I be better off with a cheaper tablet?
all it would really need is wifi and a web browser (which I would assume they all have)
I guess I don't know if they all work with flash/java and play nice with youtube videos or other content
if I would get an ipad I would get a used/refurbished to cut down on cost. really don't wanna spend over $200, yes there are sites that have used ipads for under $200 if you were wondering

my mom & my 2 youngest brothers use an ipad mini.
they can get away with something less expensive if they don't mind using android or windows rt or w/e it's called, but literally my family are in apple island.
kinda got them into it , because apple store = just tell them to go there instead of me googling shit.

I'd spend the little extra and get a Nexus 7. At its price point, it's very hard to beat.

32gb nexus 7 are $240AUD, way cheaper than any other tablet for the specs it has

ipad minis are not even a retina screen and cost much more.
