My sisters laptops hard drive has died, the hdd was Western Digital Scorpio Blue WD2500BEVS-26VAT0.

Do I need to get that same hard drive or can someone link me to cheaper/better hard drives I can use.

your sister's laptop has a SATA II connection....so does this drive...her HDD is 5400 rpm...this is 7200 rpm and has an 8MB cache....think like...twice as fast.

Further her exact same HDD is $44 USED on debaay...this is $64 NEW on newegg
