Later today I'm going to go get a new MoBo and a 920 for a backup machine, and I'm going to take my h70 and put it in a bucket full of ice to keep temps low. The 920 is a C0, so it should run hotter than D0s, also going to get some dry ice for about 5 bucks for 4 pounds and test it out. The coolant in the h70 freezes at -45C or so, so I'll be good.
The h70 isn't designed to operate in sub zero temperatures. By putting it in the ice, you may cause the parts to expand/contract (from the much larger variations from heat to cold) and cause a leak in your closed loop system.
Also, the condensation and all that will be a real bitch on your processor... :-/
You plan to get three 6970's, you buy an i7-970... you plan on getting bdozer and then ivy... and you do this... o_O; ANNNND bitcoin.
