I was able to find a website that showed me which ram it takes, but I am unable to find a list of cpu stuff.

right now it has a duo core intel t9300 @ 2.5 ghz and 3 gig ram ( max is 2 x 2 gig slots, I plan to buy a 2 gig and replace the 1 gig slot

I want to put in the best possible cpu for this notebook.

will donate ofc for good info :)

oh and, does the video affect cpu stuff while running multiple bots (set to minimal graphic mode and minimized on the screen) ?

thank you

You don't really have many options when it comes to CPU in a laptop, look at different models of the laptop you have and see what different CPUs they come with and check to see if yours is compatible.

all I can find is a t9500 which is 2.6 ghz and mine is a 2.5 ghz......I guess for the $160 difference it isnt worth it really.....

maybe just do the ram chip and call it a day ?

looks like I can sell my old one for 100 to 120 on eebay, so then I would have like 40 to 50 invested in the new one.....might be worth it.

I wonder if a faster rpm hd would help much

This. Upgrading the CPU is probably about as difficult as upgrading the Motherboard.

Typically people upgrade Ram and Hard Drives in laptops, once your CPU/Mobo is holding you back, it's almost easier to buy a new laptop than try to find older upgrades.

I'd toss 4GB ram in it and call it good, the processor isn't terrible but yes it's outdated. A nice i5 or i7 would be much better, but that won't work in that old of a machine.

PC is entirely different story.

I will look into it later on, but you might be up shit creek without a paddle.

e: Faster seek-times and rpm HD will help some, but not enough for what you want to do. Processor/Ram and even dedicated Video would help you more.

That CPU is still pretty fast for what it's worth and chances are good it's soldered on and not socketed. I think RAM will be your best bet.
