seems ok. personally i d stay away from amd and go for a intel e6300 and 775 mobo. in that case u can get ddr2 ram too an hopefully save some more money.
yeah, go for an outdated board and a crappy processor just to get intel (sarcasm)
@op
if this is just for home use, do something like a 785g motherboard (come in DDR2 or DDR3 memory standards)
get a 2.7 - 2.9ghz propus quad core if budget allows, or a higher dual otherwise
4 gigs of Gskill or corsair or Adata RAM (2x2)
get a smaller case, something micro-atx desktop or slim tower (most 785g mobos are mATX)
add in a small power supply, something like the antec green series, caviar green drive 500-1tb depending on how much media usage you want and what you want to spend
optical drive
the motherboard has an HD4200 onboard graphics card, perfect for HD videos and very light gaming
if you want a step up in graphics, a 780 chipset motherboard (HD3200/3300 onboard GFX) and a 3450/3470/2400 ATI graphics card in a hybrid crossfire setup will give you a super-cheap light gaming option
or if you want a step up from that, the HD4650 low profile or low profile ready
youve now got a power efficient PC in a small package that still packs a decent punch, perfect for home/general use
