i built my desk for $150 and its nice and wooden, just buy some nice wood parts and nail them together, or a desk setup and nail it together.

Ya I was thinking about doing that. My brother can get me really low priced wood so maybe I could build my ideal computer desk. Do you know where you can buy those sliding things to put in your mouse and keyboard?

they should come as an attachment with the desk setup you are buying (i suggest this over wood)

but if you are just going to buy wood pieces, i would check home depot, they are usually black with a sort of wheel on them, just ask the guys there about it, they should point you to some (remember you need a pair :))

I could use the sliding thing from my ikea desk, it's in good condition.
