This post is a violation of the site rules and appropriate action was taken.

Tell your friend he is fucking retarded for saying buy barely what you need for a single title.

There is no need to explain it to him, he is dead set in his neanderthal ways.

Well if you must explain say it like this:

you gonna buy a cheap ass plunger to do barely what you need it to do and have it fall apart quickly, or you gonna buy that tough as shit one for 5$ more to last.

okay guys, I know this.. How do I explain to the guy whos not understanding this?! >.<

well if you get a card that works for diablo 3 its probably not a high end card. then when you try to sell it you will get dirt if anything. and then spend more on the second card anyways for example

-150 card
+50 when you sell
-250 new card

so you spent 350 basically to get 1 card in the end. you could spend 250-300 now and it will be good for longer and probably have better resale if you do try to resell it in the future.

if he doesn't understand that even if he is good with computers he lacks common sense

Don't get any vid card less than a 7850 or a GTX 660ti....even just for D3...

If the "IT expert" dad...just tell him, Dad, gaming comps are a hell of lot different than data handling comps.

/e ...and if he's still adamant on buying crappy components, just explain that there are 4-5 regulars on here with more certifications than a Microsoft or Intel tech support employee.
